New York, NY, August 22, 2006 - Hart Sharp Video and Meadowbrook Pictures have formed an agreement to release the nationwide theatrical 2006 heartfelt drama, " Brooklyn Lobster" on DVD. Hart Sharp Video President Joe Amodei made the announcement today.

SYNOPSIS

In this authentic family portrait, which is based on a true story, Danny Aiello ( Moonstruck , Do the Right Thing ) plays Frank Giorgio, an aging patriarch facing a bank foreclosure on the small Brooklyn lobster shop he inherited from his father. Headstrong Frank is convinced he can rescue the ailing business on his own, despite his family's attempts to help. Meanwhile, tired of his stubbornness and single-minded focus, Frank's wife Maureen (Jane Curtin, 3rd Rock from the Sun , Saturday Night Live ) has decided that it's finally time to pursue her own interests and move on from their marriage. When their son Michael (Daniel Sauli), who had escaped to the tech world of Seattle, returns home for a holiday visit, he must decide how deeply to get involved in his parents' separation and saving the Lobster Farm. "Brooklyn Lobster" explores with both humor and dramatic insight the complexities of family dynamics as the Giorgios face the final auction and the state of their relationships. Due just in time for the holidays, "Brooklyn Lobster" will hit stores December 5, 2006 for a suggested retail price of $24.98 (DVD).
