New York , NY , March 21, 2006 -- Legendary Baseball Hall of Fame announcer Bob Wolff has conducted countless interviews in his unprecedented, storied career, and many of his most memorable conversations with baseball immortals are chronicled in a new DVD , Legend to Legend, Conversations with Bob Wolff, from Hart Sharp Video.
The DVD will sell for $19.98, and will be available at most major entertainment and music stores, beginning on March 28.
Wolff, currently a sportscaster for MSG Network and News 12 Long Island, is enjoying an astounding eight-decade career in sportscasting. He began his career in radio in 1939 -- added TV in 1946 -- and has amassed a virtual "Who's Who" list of baseball interviews. Legend to Legend highlights pre-game interviews conducted by Wolff with baseball greats who were filmed primarily between 1956 and 1959.
This collection of compelling, priceless baseball keepsakes was produced by Wolff's company at the time and has earned national acclaim. They have been carefully preserved at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown , NY and are presented with the Hall's permission.
Fifty interviews are contained on the DVD , and among the featured interviewees are a host of Hall of Famers, including: Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Casey Stengel, Nellie Fox, Al Lopez, Clark Griffith, and many others.
Virtually all the interviews are conducted at major league ballparks, lending themselves to natural settings and relaxed, yet candid and thought-provoking insights from some of baseball's most recognizable players, managers, and personalities.
The DVD also contains special sections of interviews, delving into topics such as: "Salute to the Umpires," "The Fine Art of Winning," "Changes That Shaped Careers," etc.

ABOUT BOB WOLFF : Bob Wolff is a broadcasting legend, and the longest-running TV sportscaster in history. Still active in the New York marketplace, Wolff's mind-boggling career, including radio, has spanned 67 years, and eight decades. He was the first broadcaster to do play-by-play for the championships in the four major sports, and called Don Larsen's perfect game in the World Series, the only one ever recorded. In 1995, he was honored with the Ford Frick Award and was inducted into the broadcasters' wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame. In 2003, he was inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters' Hall of Fame. His long association with Madison Square Garden earned him entry into MSG's prestigious "Walk of Fame." Wolff was the original TV voice for the Washington Senators, before becoming a World Series broadcaster and NBC TV "Game of the Week" play-by-play caller.
