SYNOPSIS: A being from a constellation called Monday drops into the earth's ocean from outer space. Not having a body of its own, it assumes the form of a beautiful young woman (Abracos) to look for her friend who arrived years before and who might now be in trouble. The world she dropped into is tangled in a web of instability on the heels of the "Great Revolution." The Major Multimedia Monopoly, Triple M, has created a "Dictatorship of the Consumer" and promised to bring more choice, free access, humanitarian reform and technological progress to the people. Fulfilling its promise, Triple M has enacted the "Human Value Reform Act," in which citizens are public offerings on the stock exchange and a person's value increases depending on the current state of the market. Jack Bell (Sage) is the father of the idea, but after seeing its dehumanizing consequences, he assumes the position of leader of the Counter-Revolution, to bring down the empire. The Girl From Monday is a truly tragic, but beautiful and funny film about the way we live.
