New York , November 3, 2004- Hart Sharp Video announces the November release of Gypsy 83 , a dramatic tale of two misfits in small town Sandusky , Ohio , who take a risky journey to New York City for a chance to finally fit in. Directed by Todd Stephens ( Edge of Seventeen ), the film stars Sara Rue (The Ring, Less Than Perfect ), Kett Turton (Saved ), Karen Black (The Last Patient ), John Doe (The Good Girl ), Paulo Costanzo ("Joey") and Anson Scoville ( Blackwin ). Gypsy 83 will be available on DVD for the suggested retail price of $24.98 and on VHS priced for rental. The prebook date is November 9 th , 2004.

SYNOPSIS: Gypsy (Rue) and Clive (Turton) are two outcasts who feel small-town Sandusky, Ohio closing in on them, and in turn lose themselves in Gothic fantasies, soothed by the retro sounds of The Cure, and Bauhaus. Their daydreams help them escape daily abuse from a town that takes great exception to those who don't fit in. When Gypsy and Clive learn about the annual "Night of 1000 Stevies" in New York City , their deep-seeded dreams are unleashed. With Clive's encouragement, Gypsy overcomes her fears and vows to be the best Stevie Nicks impersonator Gotham has ever seen. They pile into a '79 Trans Am and begin a journey towards acceptance. In five hundred miles they will reach New York , but not before colliding head-on with the judgments of both society and themselves.
