A FILM OF EPIC PORTIONS
SUPER SIZE ME
NEW YORK , NY -- Hart Sharp Video has acquired the domestic home entertainment distribution rights for director/producer Morgan Spurlock’s award-winning documentary feature film, SUPER SIZE ME. The deal was formed between Meyer Gottlieb ofSamuel Goldwyn Films, Howard Cohen of Roadside Attractions and Joe Amodei of Hart Sharp Video, the announcement was made today. SUPER SIZE ME , the wildly-popular documentary about the perils of a fast food lifestyle, is set to release on VHS and DVD this fall.
The film has sold out screenings at Sundance, SXSW, Aspen , Philadelphia , San Francisco , DC and Full Frame film festivals and has been drawing raves from both filmgoers as well as critics. Spurlock, has won, a "Best Director" at the Sundance Film Festival and the MTV News: Docs prize at Full Frame Film Festival.
Since the film's premiere at Sundance, McDonald's has "coincidentally" announced the end of Supersized portions and launched their "Bold Balanced Lifestyle Platform" including "Adult Happy Meals" which are being endorsed by Oprah's trainer. The film has also spurred several others to complete their own 30-day diets and has encouraged thousands of people to look at the way their own diets affect their lifestyle.

SUPER SIZE ME is directed by Morgan Spurlock and produced by Spurlock and The Con with executive producers J.R. Morley and Heather Winters. Scott Ambrozy is the director of photography and Stela Gueorguieva and Julie "Bob" Lombardi co-edited the film.
